Each session of The Thread follows a gentle and spacious rhythm, typically lasting 90 minutes to two hours. We begin by arriving, not just physically, but inwardly, through a short grounding practice or moment of quiet. From there, we move into a shared reading or story, followed by an open and respectful time of dialogue and inquiry.
Rather than debating or problem-solving, our aim is to listen for what’s alive, both in the story and in ourselves. The atmosphere is one of attentiveness, care, and mutual respect, where all voices are welcome and no one is pressured to speak.
Flow of a Session
Arrival & Grounding (10–15 minutes)
A moment of stillness to settle in and become present.
Shared Story or Reading (10–20 minutes)
We read or listen to a short piece together—often mythic or symbolic in nature.
Dialogue & Inquiry (40–60 minutes)
Guided by open questions, we explore what the story evokes in us in small groups of two or three.
Closing Reflections (10–15 minutes)
We draw the session to a close with personal reflections and shared silence.
After the Session
Following each gathering, you’ll receive a set of gentle invitations, creative prompts, questions, images, music, or reflective practices, to help deepen your connection with the story and explore its resonance in your own life. These invitations are designed to awaken your active imagination and strengthen your capacity to work symbolically, imaginally, and soulfully in the everyday world. You are free to engage with them in whatever way feels right.
The Experience
The experience is intended to be calming, thought-provoking, and nourishing. It is not a workshop, therapy session, or performance, it is a practice of presence and a place to explore what matters most in uncertain times.
Making Connections
You are welcome to attend as a one-off or to come regularly. Over time, many participants find a deepening sense of community, clarity, and coherence, both within themselves and with others. You can carry the thread forward into your work, life, and relationships.
